FAQ
Can I still use Pay-Per-Album credits before November 2nd, 2026?
Yes. You can keep proofing exactly as you do today, including buying Pay-Per-Album credits, until November 2nd, 2026.
Why are Pay-Per-Album credits going away?
We’ve rebuilt proofing from the ground up and will include SmartAlbums Proofing in all SmartAlbums and All Apps Bundle plans. That means you’ll be able to design and proof an unlimited number of albums without ever leaving SmartAlbums, so Pay-Per-Album credits will no longer be needed. If you’re on an older plan that doesn’t include Proofing, you can upgrade anytime from your SmartAlbums account.
Can I still use Cloud Proofing after November 2nd, 2026?
Only for albums that are already uploaded to Cloud Proofing. You’ll be able to keep sharing those albums, adding revisions, and collecting client feedback and approvals in Cloud Proofing until its sunset on November 2nd, 2027. Starting on November 2nd, 2026, new projects, and any existing project you’ve never uploaded to Cloud Proofing, will use SmartAlbums Proofing instead, and Pay-Per-Album credits will no longer be available.
Additionally, if you're unable to update to the latest version of SmartAlbums, you’ll still be able to upload new albums to Cloud Proofing from your older version, as long as your plan includes Proofing, until its sunset on November 2nd, 2027.
If I don't have Proofing in my plan, how do I proof an album after November 2nd, 2026?
You can still upload albums into Cloud Proofing through Pay-Per-Album credits until November 2nd, 2026. After this date, if you'd like to continue proofing, update SmartAlbums to the latest version, open your project, and click Proof. If proofing isn't included with your current plan, you'll see an upgrade option within the Proofing dashboard to upgrade to our new plan that includes Proofing. Additionally, you can upgrade your plan at any time within your SmartAlbums account.
What happens to albums in Cloud Proofing?
They will remain in Cloud Proofing. Every album you've already uploaded stays accessible to both you and your clients, and you can keep adding new revisions to those albums at no additional cost. Your clients' links will continue to work until Cloud Proofing is sunset on November 2nd, 2027. However, starting November 2nd, 2026, all new projects will use SmartAlbums Proofing by default.
Can I move an existing Cloud Proofing album to SmartAlbums Proofing after November 2nd, 2026?
No. Albums that already have Cloud Proofing data stay in Cloud Proofing. All new projects, or any existing project you've never uploaded to Cloud Proofing, will use SmartAlbums Proofing.
